- Lip Repair done at 3 months (10lbs)/palate repair done between 9-12 months (18 lbs and drinking from a free flow cup)
- Restrictions & Requirements after repair include: Use of nasal retainer, arm immobilizers (non-no’s) and feedings with asepto tip syringe. Scar gel and lip scar massage will start at 1 month post-surgery, directions will be given at your post op visit.
- Immediate evaluation with team SLP and ongoing evaluations coordinated with clinic follow up and therapy as needed.(as needed)
- Additional procedures may include: Columellar Lengthening (Bilateral cleft lip only without use of NAM) age 3, Tip Rhinoplasty (possible Lip revision) age 6-7, Possible Speech surgery (Pharyngeal flap or sphincteroplasty) age 3-8, Alveolar Ridge Bone Grafting-age 8-10, Orthodontics 7-Teen years, Septorhinoplasty- age 14-18, Possbile Orthognahtic Surgery- Late Teen Years
